GSC = gross selective collection // The other fraction includes the following selectively collected waste: vegetal and gardening waste, pneumatic tires, waste assimilable to urban waste from construction, WEEE and bulky waste.
The percentage of gross selective collection has increased very slowly in the last 5 years, and has reached a maximum of 30.6% of the total waste generated by 2023, far from the selective collection objectives of 55% set by state and European and Spanish policies for the 2025. Of all the fractions, organic fraction has seen the greatest increase in tonnes collected, with 4 times more tonnes collected in 2023 than in 2010.
