Society is increasingly aware of its consumption and seeks establishments that offer products and services that are more respectful towards the environment and our health. Comerç Verd (Green Store) is an initiative designed to identify and publicize those small local businesses that have such an offer for sale. These are characterized by the sale of proximity, fair trade or bulk products, and those with ecological certification, returnable or reusable containers or that facilitate energy, water or waste savings. In addition, stores offer alternatives to single-use plastic bags and work to minimize packaging or products in polystyrene trays, with excess plastic or cardboard or unnecessary bags.

The campaign offers the Comerç Verd certification to the participating establishments, giving them the opportunity to make their offer visible to the population, jointly projecting themselves towards a more sustainable society, strengthening links with citizens and strengthening the territory. Being part of Comerç Verd also allows access to support and advice on good practices and useful information.

Establishments can join individually or through identification campaigns for these types of establishments promoted by the municipalities. Thus, Comerç Verd is already in municipalities such as Barcelona, Badalona, Girona, Sant Hilari Sacalm, Argentona, El Papiol, Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana and Corbera de Llobregat.
